Frequently asked questions

A clearer starting point.

Access, licensing, compatibility and the practical details of your Stage1Files workflow.

What is Stage1Files?

Stage1Files is desktop software for professional workshops. It generates Stage 1 calibration automatically for eligible ECU and TCU files using platform-specific logic.

How do I check whether my file is supported?

Search the control-unit family in the coverage directory. A family listing is not confirmation of every hardware/software combination. Check the exact original file in the application or ask Support before committing to a job.

Does it support both ECU and TCU files?

Yes. Engine and transmission control-unit families are listed separately. The TCU list is combined coverage; it does not assign every transmission family to an individual vehicle brand.

How fast is processing?

The software is designed to generate Stage 1 results in seconds for eligible files. Identification, file transfer, validation and vehicle programming are separate parts of the workshop process.

What does test access include?

€50 gives 7 days of access with 1 automatic file per day, software updates during active access and in-app support.

What does Professional include?

€500 gives 365 days of access with 5 automatic files per day, software updates during active access and in-app support. Additional daily capacity is optional.

When does the daily allowance refresh?

The daily allowance refreshes at 00:00 on the service’s schedule. The published policy does not specify a timezone. Check the allowance shown in your account before planning a time-sensitive job.

Can I increase my daily file limit?

Additional daily token packs raise the daily limit for the remaining active annual membership period. They are additional daily capacity, not a one-off pool of files. Contact Support for the current pack options and price.

Are software updates included?

Updates and expanding platform coverage are included during active access. The published update schedule is monthly. Check the application for the actual update available to your account; a scheduled update is not a promise of a particular new family.

Is my licence tied to one computer?

Yes. The licence is hardware-bound to one computer. Contact Support before replacing hardware or transferring to another PC; transfers are controlled and are not unlimited.

Can I use a virtual machine or remote desktop?

Virtualized Windows environments are not supported. The application may close when remote desktop software such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk is detected. Use the physical PC associated with the licence.

How do I activate the software?

Download and extract the archive, run Stage1files.exe and open Register. Purchase a registration code through the checkout, retrieve it from the purchase email, complete registration and sign in. A web registration form is also available.

What happens when access expires?

Continued automated processing requires active access. Annual members can renew in “Extend Subscription” in the application. Keep independent copies of your originals and completed files.

How do referrals work?

When a new customer registers with your referral code, the referring account receives a 30-day subscription extension. The referral field is optional. Contact Support if an eligible referral has not appeared.

Where do I get help?

Use the Support section in the desktop application for account or calibration questions. The AllChip team also provides website contact by WhatsApp and email. Do not send passwords, registration codes or customer files through social media.

Are my files processed entirely offline?

Stage1Files is a desktop workflow with online registration, licensing, payment and support services. The available public documentation does not establish an entirely offline processing or file-retention guarantee. Ask Support about requirements for sensitive work.

What should I do if the file is unsupported?

Stop the automated workflow and contact Support with the ECU/TCU family, software identification and reading method. Do not substitute a file from another vehicle or assume that a similar family name proves compatibility.
